An 18th Century Ottoman inlaid Walnut Wood Table – Turkey.

This decahedral table is composed of a typical top carried on ten arched legs. The wooden table top has a central hexagonal motif with a mother of pearl finely cut and inlaid floral sprig on a tortoise shell background. This centre is surrounded by and is inlaid with a hexagonal modular design in tortoise shell, encompassing six pointed stars (symbolizing the Seal of Soloman) in mother of pearl. The edge of the table top and legs are inlaid in ivory, bone, and horn.
